ANSWER: Although it is not highly publicised internationally, there is a huge casino complex in the Genting Highlands, about 50kms from Kuala Lumpur. With thousands of rooms in six hotels and 24-hour casinos, the resort complex is usually packed with punters from KL, Singapore and Thailand. The Genting City of Entertainment complex also has a wide range of facilities for children and families, including a theme park and game arcades. Malaysian Muslims are not permitted to enter the casino.
