Q: As I will be in Beijing in July I would like to visit the Olympic stadium used during the 2008 games, as well as the "Water Cube" arena used for swimming. Is it possible to tour these buildings or is one restricted to an outside view? - Ruan Dandrum
A: There are a number of day tours that allow you to see the interior of the Olympic venues. One of the popular operators with English speaking guides is Beijing Discovery Tours (www.beijingdiscoverytours.com). Most of the day tours also include visits to the National Grand Theater, Xidan Commercial Street, Beijing Financial Street, The China Millennium Monument, CCTV Tower, and Wangfujing Commercial Street. If you visit the stadium on your own, you will have to pay an admission fee of 12 US dollars. (23 May 2010)
