Question: I will be visiting Germany in July and understand that works from New York's Metropolitan Musem of Art will be on show in Berlin during the European summer. Do you have details, as well as news of any other exhibitions? - Sandra King.
Answer: A selection of prized paintings from the Metropolitan will be on shown at Berlin's New National Gallery at Postdamer Platz from June 1 to October 7. The exhibition consists of works by 19th Century French masters, including masterpieces by Cezanne, Monet, Corot and Ingres. Another noteworthy art event is the Picasso exhibition at the New National Gallery's Berggruen Museum in Schlossstrase. Also on display at this exhibition are works by Henri Matisse.
