QUESTION: My sister in England is taking my husband and I on a holiday to Egypt, which includes a cruise on the Nile from Luxor to Aswan. We are not that keen on the cruise aspect of the trip and have heard some horror stories of dirty, cramped boats masquerading as five-star cruisers. We are booked on the Mövenpick M/S Royal Lotus. ANSWER: Despite the many stories, some of them urban legends, most of the Nile cruisers are clean and well-managed - and represent excellent value for money. You need have no qualms about this Movenpick cruiser. It is one of the best, with luxurious rooms, great dining and all the facilities you might expect. You should have a marvellous trip - it would be a shame to miss out.
