ANSWER: There are day packages and overnight packages available from New York City to Atlantic City. The distance between the two cities is about 170 kilometres. Unless you intend spending a great deal of time in the casinos, a day trip would give you enough time to sample the delights of this coastal gambling mecca. However, when there are no conventions or sporting events, the big resorts often offer excellent one-night deals, which may be worth taking up.
Whatever you do, visit Atlantic City during the week. Over weekends it can be very busy.
