Q: My husband and I will be in Tel Aviv early next year and I would like to find out about walking tours of the city. We are especially interested in architecture. - Maddie Grey
A: A number of free guided walking tours of Tel Aviv-Jaffa are available in English. They are held throughout the year, except over Yom Kippur. There is no need to book for the tours, you can just turn up at the starting point. Tours that might interest you include a look at Old Jaffa, checking out Tel Aviv by night and Tel Aviv University's art and architecture. There is also a walking tour of "the White City", which focuses on the architectural styles of the 1930s - especially the Bauhaus style. For details of days of operation and starting points, go the www.visit-tlv.com website. (28/11/10)
