Q: Could you recommend a basic tour of the main sights in Sydney? We only have three days in the city and would like to visit some of the attractions. - Elizabeth Nel
A: One of the more innovative tours available in Sydney is provided by I'm Free Tours. This is a walking tour and, as the name suggests, there is no charge. Of course, tips are welcomed by the energetic and informative guides. No booking is needed - you just turn up at the anchor on the Town Hall Square in George Street at 10.30am or 2.30pm and join a tour. The tours run every day of the year, except Christmas Day. Among the attractions you will see is the Rock's District, St Mary's Cathedral, Fort Denison, Cadman's Cottage, the Pitt Street Shopping Mall, Martin Place, the Sydney Tower, Hyde Park and Circular Quay. The tour ends with the two main attractions, the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. It takes around three hours, with a 15-minute break. You will get a map as well as a brochure with the top free attractions by day and night. Check out the www.imfree.com.au website. (6/3/11)

I should like to spend the whole of my life in travelling abroad, if I could anywhere borrow another life to spend afterwards at home. Flights to Perth
