Q: Our two sons are Manchester United fanatics and, during a visit to England next month, we thought it might be a good idea to visit Old Trafford. Are there regular tours of the stadium or a museum to visit there. If so, how much would it cost? - Johan de Lange
A: There is a museum at Old Trafford in Manchester and the management offers an excellent behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium. The museum is open daily from 9.30am-5pm, while the tours take place daily from 9.40-4.30pm. The museum and stadium tour costs 8.50 British pounds. During the tour, you will get the chance to sit in the North Stand for a bird's eye view of the pitch, stand in the spot where "Fergie" (the coach) stands in the dug out, sit in the home changing room at your favourite player's peg and emerge from the tunnel as the players do on match days. It is worth booking ahead for the tour, as it can get very busy during the summer months. For further details, check out the www.manutd.co.uk website. (28 June 2009)
