Heathrow to Oxford

<!--[if gte mso 9]> Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Q: I have a two-day stopover at Heathrow Airport in October and would prefer to spend the time in Oxford as opposed to central London. Could you give me details about bus transport between the airport and Oxford and recommend a centrally located three-star hotel in Oxford. - Rennie Jones

A: You will have no problem finding a bus service from Heathrow to Oxford. Two companies service this route, National Express and The Airline, with buses every 20 minutes in peak periods.. Get details of the National Express service on www.nationalexpress.com website and The Airline service, which is run by the Oxford Bus Company, on the www.theairline.info website. Return tickets can be booked on both websites for around 25 British pounds return. For a listing of a wide variety of hotels,. try www,oxfordcity.co.uk. For discounted rates, you can check out the www.laterooms.com website. Expect to pay around 80 British pounds for a double room in a centrally-located hotel (such as the Tower House Hotel) and as little as 40 British pounds for a double room outside of the centre (such as the Spread Eagle).
