Q: Is it possible to do a daytrip to Paris Disneyland from London on the Eurostar? I will be staying in central London during July with my sons and would like to treat them to a day at the theme park, but would prefer to return the same day. Does the Eurostar serve the Disney resort or will we have to go through central Paris? Is the rail station close to the resort? - Nolene Nel
A: Yes, the Eurostar to Disneyland train offers high speed train connection services between London and Euro Disney in East Paris, seven days a week, with ticket prices as low as 59 pounds return. There are regular departures from London starting at 7am, but it is best to book the direct service. It travels from London to Paris Disneyland without having to change trains. It departs from London St Pancras International Station (accessible via King's Cross tube station) at 08.53 and arrives at the Disneyland station (Marne La VallĂ©e–Chessy) at 12.27. Total travel time is only two hours 34 minutes, but there is a one hour time difference. The return direct service leaves Disney at 19:37, arriving in London at 21:12. If you do not take the direct service, you will change trains at Lille and the journey will take 3-4 hours. The Disneyland station is only a few minute's walk from the park gates. You can buy tickets on the www.eurostar.com website. (7 June 2009)
