Brad Pitt's hotel in Namibia

Question: I read that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had rented an entire guest lodge in Namibia when they were there for the birth of their baby. Do you know which guest house this was and how much it costs per night? I would love to stay there, just for the fun of it - Alec Grey

Answer: The hotel is the Burning Shore Beach Lodge, which is located on Long Beach, just south of Swakopmund. It is very comfortable, but not as super-luxurious as some of the famous game lodges in southern Africa. The Burning Shore has seven rooms and five suites, but I am sure you won't be hoping to hire the entire lodge! Room rates, including taxes and breakfast, start from around 790 Namibian dollars in low season to N$1990 for a suite in high season. (The Namibian dollar is equal to the Rand.) You can contact the lodge via their website www.burningshore.info or by telephone: +264 64 207 568.
