QUESTION: I have a one-night stopover at Heathrow Airport, London on a return trip from the United States in March. Would it be cheaper to stay in an airport hotel or one in the city? What would a good airport hotel cost? - Graeme Marshall
ANSWER: Hotels around Heathrow generally offer great value for money compared to their city centre counterparts. I did a test booking for a room at the five star Radisson Edwardian Heathrow Hotel (which has been voted the best airport hotel in the world), and the rate offered was 125 British pounds. For a comparable hotel, that price would be hard to match in London city.
