QUESTION: My husband and I are considering driving from Barcelona to Paris as an alternative to flying while visiting Europe in May. He has driven in Europe before. However, do you have any idea of how long it would take? Would we need to stopover en route? - Ann Els
ANSWER: The distance is around 1000 kilometres, so it should take you anything from 9-12 hours, depending on traffic conditions in the two cities. A stopover is not essential, but would be advisable if you want to see a bit of the country and not arrive in Paris totally frazzled.
